LEISTON U23’s host Pinchbeck United on Saturday afternoon at the Watson & Hillhouse Stadium, as the Blues second string play their final match of 2024.
A 2-2 draw last weekend in Norfolk against Gorleston Reserves stopped a run of four successive league defeats as the U23’s went 15th in the table. Pinchbeck United are currently 11th, five points above the U23’s with a game in hand.
The sides met in their first-ever game against each other back in August, with Leiston winning 2-1. Mitchell Jackson and Mackenzie Travis were on target for Leiston while Nathan Stevens got on the scoresheet for the hosts, in front of a crowd of 69.
After this weekend's game, the U23’s don’t play again for two weeks until Saturday 4th January when they head to Holbeach United. The following weekend they visit Framlingham Town before they host Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers. They can also look forward to hosting Henley Athletic in the CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup quarter-final in early February.
