BLUES U23S will play their first game for two weeks on Saturday when they head to Essex to face Wivenhoe Town in league action.
Neil Smye’s side have slipped to 13th in the league standings recently. Wivenhoe are fourth from bottom at present in 17th position, with 17 points from 20 league games.
After a really good start to the season, the U23’s have stuttered slightly with results but have had some good performances still when they haven’t got much out the game.
Last season, the U23’s met Wivenhoe Town for the first time and lost 2-1 away from home (with Reagan King on target) and went down 4-2 at home (with Josh Yaxley getting both goals).
The U23’s only have three scheduled games in December currently.
Next weekend they host FC Peterborough in the league while they visit Gorleston Reserves on Saturday 14th December. Their last scheduled match of 2024 will take place on Saturday 21st of the month as they welcome Pinchbeck United to Suffolk.
