THE Blues U23’s play host to AFC Sudbury Reserves for their first home league game for two weeks.
Saturday’s lost to Swaffham Town means the Blues are in 10th place as they get close to the halfway stage of the campaign already in terms of league games.
Ewan Parlett put the side ahead early on but Swaffham hit back with two quick goals from Ethan Lloyd-Patrick as the Norfolk side won 2-1.
AFC Sudbury Reserves are fourth from bottom currently but beat Leiston back in September 3-2 in the reverse fixture. Mitchell Jackson and Ethan Oldham scored for Leiston while Kieran Williams (2) and Harry Bradshaw were on target for Sudbury.
Leiston U23’s only have three scheduled more games in October. The side head to FC Parson Drove on Saturday while Leiston host Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves (Suffolk Senior Cup) and Haverhill Rovers before the month is out.
