THE Blues 23’s are back at home today for their first game at Victory Road in three weeks as they host Whitton United.
The side will be looking for a good performance against a much improved Whitton United side who are currently in 5th place. Both sides were near the bottom last campaign but this season has seen an improvement for both of them.
Whitton in fact have won six of their eight league games, while the U23’s have won five out of their nine league games.
Last season, Whitton United won 3-0 in Ipswich. Goals from Ashley Horne and a double from Kade Ivatt gave Whitton the points but in the home game, the Blues won 3-2, with Cameron Rayworth netting a hat-trick as Whitton fought back with two goals again from Kade Ivatt.
