THE Blues U23’s head to Lincolnshire this weekend to face Pinchbeck United as both teams meet for the first time ever in their history.
The U23’s have won three of their opening four league fixtures and will look for a fourth win on the bounce. Last weekend, a 4-2 home win against Whittlesey Athletic saw Mackenzie Travis, Warren Buckman, Elliott Young and Cameron Rayworth all on target. Travis getting his third of the campaign already while Buckman and Rayworth added their second.
Pinchbeck, meanwhile, have won one, drawn one and lost one of their opening three games to date as they sit in 13th position in the early league standings. They were relegated from Step 5 last season.
The U23’s still have three league games to play still in August as the team visit Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers on Wednesday night before hosting FC Parson Drove next weekend (Sat 24th Aug). The team finish the month at Stanway Pegasus on Saturday 31st August.
