LEISTON U23’s welcome Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves to the Watson and Hillhouse Stadium today in Suffolk Senior Cup 2nd Round action.
It’s the fourth time that the sides have met in the competition, with the Blues winning two out of the three ties thus far in the competition.
Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves currently sit in 11th position (out of 16 teams) in the Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination League Division One. They have won two drawn two and lost four games in the league so far and received a bye, along with Tattingstone United, in the First Round of the competition.
Meanwhile, the U23’s sit 11th in the Thurlow Nunn First Division North. The Blues have won seven and lost eight of their 15 league matches thus far.

Leiston firsts played Kirkley & Pakefield firsts in the First Round of the Suffolk Senior Cup in the 2003/2004 campaign. That was the last time the Blues first team played in the Senior Cup because they gained promotion that season to the Jewson Premier Division.
Steven Wright’s team were knocked out in the semi-finals that season, losing 2-1 to Hadleigh United.
