OVERVIEW
LEISTON host AFC Telford United this afternoon as they look to get back to winning ways in the league after losing 2-1 at Latimer Park, the home of Kettering Town, last weekend, that ended a run of eight unbeaten games in all competitions.
George Quantrell looked like he had earnt a point for Leiston thanks to the Blues midfielder’s 79th-minute equaliser, which cancelled out Jonathan Edwards opener, but Isiah Noel-Williams won it for Kettering in the 89th-minute.
However, Chris Wigger’s side got back to winning ways on Tuesday night, defeating Lowestoft Town in the Suffolk Premier Cup 2-1 with goals coming via Ben Fowkes and Quantrell. That win set up a quarter-final tie with an Ipswich Town XI (with a date yet to be arranged).
Leiston are tenth after last weekend’s results while AFC Telford United are third and five points above Leiston with a game in hand.
Last weekend, AFC Telford beat St Ives Town 3-1.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS

FOWKES' THOUGHTS
LEISTON striker Ben Fowkes, who has six goals so far this season, said this ahead of Saturday's game: “It’s a really big test against big opposition.
“It should be a great game and one we’re looking forward to. We want to be in and around the play-offs of course. With the league being so tight there is no reason we can’t be in that position and be aiming for that.”
TELFORD FACTS
