LEISTON host Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday in league action, 3pm start at the Watson & Hillhouse Stadium, Victory Road. This will be the sixth season in a row that both sides have played each other.
Bromsgrove are currently in 21st place (second from bottom) and have lost their last four league games.
The game on Saturday will mean Leiston are a third of a way through their league campaign this season. They are four points off the bottom four but just six points off the top six in a very tight league for this stage of the season.
Three teams (Kettering Town, Stamford and Halesowen Town) are separated by goal difference at the top of the division.
Leiston’s defence is much improved this season, with the Blues conceding just four goals in all competitions in their last five games while Jamar Loza took his tally to 12 last weekend and George Quantrell is on 9 goals.

Bromsgrove Sporting FC are based in Worcestershire and were founded in 2009. They reached the semi-finals of the FA Vase in the 2016-2017 season. They reached 4th place in the league in 20192020 before the league was curtailed due to COVID-19 and have finished 18th (twice) in 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 before coming 17th in 2023/2024.
Meanwhile, Blues captain Seb Dunbar, who is still out with injury but close to starting full training again soon, said: “I feel I’m on the mend now. It’s still going to be a few weeks, I’ve got to get my fitness back, and it’s more of a rehab process now. I don’t want to put a timescale on it, but things are looking much more positive.
“Of course, I can’t wait to get back on the grass. I try not to think about it too much when I’m not playing, or you’ll get in your own head. But just being at games and watching makes you realise how much you’re missing it.”
On Saturday, the Club will have a minute's silence as it is Remembrance weekend and we will have members from the Royal British Legion in attendance performing the Last Post.
Leiston will host Alvechurch in their second home league game on the bounce on Tuesday night when Alvechurch visit Victory Road, in league action (7.45pm kick off).
