LEISTON head to Bedford Town for another away league clash on Tuesday night fresh from gaining a valuable point on a miserable afternoon at Barwell on Saturday as they saw their unbeaten run stretch to seven games in all competitions.
It's a big week for the Blues, who face Hornchurch in the FA Cup on Saturday at Victory Road, and they will want to go into that match with confidence continuing high.
It's also a big night for Blues captain Seb Dunbar at Bedford, who will make his 400th appearance for the club. On the injury front, apart from Albie Armin, Blues boss Chris Wigger should have a full squad available.
FORM GUIDE: -
BEDFORD TOWN: - LWDDW
BLUES: - LWDWD.
Leiston have beaten Bedford in their only two previous matches between the sides. They met twice in the 2022/2023 season. Firstly, in Suffolk, when the Blues won 3-0 in September 2022 before Leiston won 4-3 in Bedford in February 2023.
It will be Leiston’s last league game for more than two weeks as they play in the FA Cup (Hornchurch, at home), Suffolk Premier Cup (Bury Town, away) and FA Trophy (Horsham, at home), in their next three games.
Bedford were promoted last season after being relegated in that 2022/2023 season in which the sides played their only two games to date against each other.
