LEISTON under-23s moved into the next round of the Suffolk Senior Cup with a 3-2 victory over Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves at Victory Road.

Charlie Atkin and an own goal gave Neil Smye's side a 2-0 half-time lead and when Cameron Rayworth added a third it looked as though the game was over.

Kirkley battled back however and two late goals, from Joshua Williams (84) and Nathan Lay with virtually the final kick of the game, gave the score-line a more respectable look for the visitors.

Next Saturday, the u23s entertain high-flying Haverhill Rovers at Victory Road, 3pm kick-off.
