Blues announce Ryan Honeyman as new boss

The Blues can announce tonight that Ryan Honeyman is to be the Reserves new manager.

Ryan will take over the Reserves in what will be the sides 7th year at Step 6. (Thurlow Nunn First Division North).

Honeyman said of his appointment earlier: -

‘ I’m absolutely delighted to be involved with a club like Leiston FC and to be back working with Darren & Chris, especially after last season ending so abruptly. Having experience of step 6 I can't wait to get started working with a bunch of young exciting players to be as competitive as we possibly can, whilst also creating really good links/pathways between First Team, Reserves and U18’s. Playing wise, I played for Cambridge Utd youth and Stockport County. Locally, I helped Norwich Utd win the old Ridgeons Division 1. I also played for Wroxham and Mulbarton and won the Sterry Cup 3 times with Cromer. Coaching wise, I was Sheringham assistant manager for two seasons and Sheringham U18’s manager.‘

Everyone at Leiston FC hopes Ryan enjoys his time at the club.
