Loza at the double as Leiston win first league away game of the season

LEISTON put in a gritty and determined performance this afternoon at The Valley Stadium in Worcestershire against Redditch United as a Jamar Loza double helped the team moved up to 16th place in the league table.

Loza put the Blues ahead on 35 minutes, slotting the ball into the roof of the net after Ryan Jarvis had put the ball back into the box.

However, Redditch equalised five minutes later when Reuben Wyatt curled into Billy Johnson’s top right-hand corner.

Leiston got their second and decisive goal on 72 minutes when Loza buried Ben Fowkes’ cross from the by-line and the Blues defended well for the remainder of the game, seeing out 13 minutes of additional time.
