The Blues scored with 30 seconds of the 90 to go to defeat local rivals Needham Market at Bloomfields
In an even game, Adam Mills’ late strike on the edge of the box kept Leiston second in the table.
Sam Donkin had to make two decent stops in the first half but Leiston has plenty of the ball in the opening period also. The second half saw Mills and Ben Fowkes denied by good blocks while Luke Ingram created a good chance for himself for Needham but he fired off target inside the box.
However, Mills’ late strike after good work by sub Finlay Barnes sent the away fans wild behind the goal to seal the points.
Today’s attendance was 364, thanks to the Blues fans for their good support this afternoon. Thanks to Needham for their hospitality and all the best for the final part of the campaign.
The Blues now head to Tamworth on Saturday afternoon as they play their final away game of the season.h
