The Blues unbeaten eight game run came to an end on Saturday at Latimer Park against league leaders Kettering Town.
An early goal from Jonathan Edwards on 14 minutes gave the host the lead before Leiston grew into the game and they had plenty of possession as the half went on.
After having more good play and a lot of the ball in the second period, George Quantrell netted his 10th goal of the campaign on 79 minutes to level.
However, Leiston couldn’t quite grab a point and sub Isiah Noel-Williams grabbed a late winner with a minute of normal time remaining to keep ‘The Poppies’ at the top of the table.
Thanks to the Blues fans who attended today’s game, in front of a crowd of 881.
Leiston are in action on Tuesday night when they host Lowestoft Town in the Endeavour Automotive Suffolk Premier Cup 2nd Round (7.45pm kick off).
